Process_Description:

Polygons were heads-up-digitized on existing 2003-04 RIDOTorthophotography while using the 2006 images on www.maps.live.com as a guide. Imagery for RI on www.maps.live.com were taken during a very low tide in Oct 2006 and therefore eelgrass in most ponds along the south shore are clearly visible. Eelgrass in Green Hill is not clearly visible, but eelgrass is known to occur there. Those polys represent a 'best guess' scenario. While all polygons were not directly ground-truthed, most delineations are known to be fairly accurate because of field visits to Ninigret, Quonny, and Point Judith from 2005-2007.
