Jason Krumholz
Biological Oceanography

Jason Krumholz is in his second year in the PhD program at URI's Graduate School
of Oceanography. He studies biological oceanography with Dr. Candace Oviatt.
His research interests include estuarine ecology, and ecology of Marine Protected
Areas.
Jason grew up in Massachusetts, and attended high school at Boston University
Academy before moving to Wisconsin. He received his bachelors degree in Biology
from Lawrence University, in 2001 and stayed in Wisconsin for three years selling
luxury cars. When Jason decided to return to the world of academia, he decided
on New England, and chose GSO and the IGERT program based on the interdisciplinary
and integrated style of education. In his spare time Jason enjoys ice hockey,
scuba diving, kayaking, and science fiction. Please feel free to contact me
