We will be accepting applications for the 2008-2009 cohort starting in January 2008. We will begin reviewing applications in March 2008.

To apply for a CIIP Traineeship, follow these steps.

Step 1: Identify a program and a major advisor for your Ph.D. studies. If you need help identifying people or programs of interest, contact us -- we can direct you to the best URI scholars in your field.

Step 2: You must apply and be accepted into a URI Ph.D. program. It is possible to apply for CIIP funding while your Ph.D. program application is in process. However, you must be a matriculated Ph.D. student to receive CIIP funding.

Step 3: With your (prospective) major professor, contact the CIIP Program to ensure that positions are still available.

Step 4: Complete and submit the application materials to the CIIP that are described here.

The Coastal Institute IGERT Project is committed to enhancing the gender and cultural diversity of the next generation of coastal ecosystem scientists and managers.
